THIS MONTH IN "VIN SANO"   RHINELAND REDUX WINE SPECIALS OF THE MONTH MIONETTO PROSECCO TASTING THIS EVENING!   August means more to us at Wollaston Wines than just steamy nights and humid days. For us August evokes emotions of dry Rosés, delightful Rieslings and perhaps a Merlot for the grill (or maybe two). Ah yes, Summer is also a time for picnics at Tanglewood, frolicking in the lush New England meadows and trips to the quaint cottage on the Cape with that nice little veranda out back. BREWERY OF THE MONTH   DOGFISH HEAD BREWERY   We introduce two new beers from this brewery in August to go along with the 60 and 90 Minute IPAs that are already in the store.   120 MINUTE IPA This HUGE IPA is boiled for a full two hours (thus the name) while being continuously hopped with high alpha American hops, then dry hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and then aged for another month on whole leaf hops. Available in 12 ounce bottles, this beer is 20% ABV. $8.95 Plus Deposit   MIDAS TOUCH GOLDEN ELIXIR This beer recipe is the actual oldest known fermented beverage in the world. It showcases the known ingredients of barley, white Muscat grapes, honey, and saffron found in the drinking vessels in King Midas’ tomb. Somewhere between a beer, wine and a meade this smooth dry ale will please the Chardonnay or IPA drinker alike. Available in four (4) pack 12 ounce bottles it is 9% ABV. SALE $12.99 Plus Deposit

SPIRIT SELECTION OF THE MONTH TRAGO TEQUILA   This premium Tequila is produced at the Cos Alambiques Distillery located in the higher altitude of the Arandas region in Central Mexico. This ultra premium Tequila is of the highest quality resulting from the best soil and climatic conditions in this region of Mexico.   TRAGO SILVER Crystal clear and smooth with a clean Agave taste, with a slightly spicy, smoky flavor finishing with hints of peppers, citrus, mint and herbs. SPECIAL BREW SELECTIONS   This month I am trying something different, usually I feature a Brewery of the Month, but recently there has been new releases of some really great beers by various Breweries. I picked five (5) selections that I felt were outstanding and urge you to come down and check them out.   EXCELSIOR TEN Brewed by the Ithaca Brewery Company in New York, this selection is an Imperial American Extra Strong and Special Double Red Ale. Enjoy the russet, the aggressive hoppy aroma and flavor, rich body and fiery finish. AVB 10%. Available in 750 Ml Bottles.
